Tony Felder

Title: Snare Drum Teacher

Biography: This is Tony's 2nd year with NorthCoast Academy. He marched on the snareline for the 2011 season. Tony began his teaching career as a percussion instructor for junior high students/drumlines while a sophomore at Jackson Highschool; which progressed into private lessons throughout his academic career and into his current life. Tony has also taught a few Michigan highschool drumlines both indoor, and outdoor. While at Michigan State University, Tony played 4 years on the snareline in the Spartan Marching Band, a season in Michigan State's PASIC Competition line, one season performing in the Piston's Drumline. 2 indoor seasons in 2009 and 2010 with Redline Percussion. Ageing out in his first season of Drum Corps with Carolina Crown in 2010, he then finished his competitive marching career with Northcoast Academy Percussion Ensemble in 2011 with the group earning its highest score at that time in its competitive history. Tony is currently attending Michigan State Univesity in the process of attaining his Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, Pre-law as well as a Minor in Chinese (Mandarin). In his free time, Tony likes to drum, make instrumentals, as well as write and arrange for various highschool groups in his area. Along with being a freelance private lessons teacher, he is also a compulsive tweeter, and is estatic about beginning his PIW teaching career as a snare tech for Northcoast Academy.
